Every group needs to contribute at least one posting.
What are you thoughts on the information / issues and stories that have been presented?
Do you agree or disagree with the ideas on the sheets?
Does your group have ideas how things can be made better?
How you publicise or impact on the way that society deals with these issues?
Is this a generation gap that is getting wider?

The internet introduces a new layer to daily life
This means it can introduce its own type of problems, like fraud, identity theft and other kinds of cyber-crime
Having to balance the risk of these and their real-life counter parts can be a major challenge for young people in today’s world
We think that the media often protrays a picture of the youth as being unruly. We think this is wrong because this is only a small minority. To change this opinion of the youth, the media should concentrate on good points instead of murders, knife crime and drugs. The youth today should try helping the enviroment, we dont think people do this as they would rather be sitting at home on social networking sites and being with their friends, but if everyone helped the enviroment then the world would be a better place.
a cut and paste generation: i dissagree, even if some of our generation take advantage of the free information on the web. Most of the younger generation use different reasorses to get more varied results and sometime it is not reliable reasorce.
we think that privacy is needed on the internet as you may have information and work details could be hacked, especially nowadays you absolutly need to have an online presense, but then again people might like not having privacy so people know who they are.
Our group thinks the internet publishes a picture of what people should look like, which influences young people most. This means making minds think how skinny and fake they must be. The effects of this can include anorexia, self harm and loss of self-esteem/confidence. Also the inetrnet is not always being used safley, making people exposed to others, like hackers easily. To stop this people should set profiles on social networking accounts to private, so only selected people can see it.
MEDIA VILONCE SHOULD NOT BE ACCEPTED AS IT MAY LEAD TO HURT OR MABEY EVEN WORSE DEATH.
A cut and paste generation: Even that i said the things in my last post in think that it has effected the life in exams you could get higher marks off plagerism and copywrite infrinsment.
Blogs let people tell others over the internet what they are doing and there feelings. Lots of people have Blogs. Lots of people comment on peoples Blogs like saying if they like what they are doing or ask them questions. Lots of celebrities have Blogs so fans can know what they are doing. Teachers could use Blogs to help pupils with homework or students could ask questions about the lessons.
the thing with the young media is that people use it for the rong resons like young people useing it for sex chats that people can get huck on and when they can not get to a computer they use outher peoples computer which has happend to me my old frenid how is younger than me he kept coming to my hose to whach roued thing which my mum found out and a got my laptop tuck a way and a never let hem in my house again
Our topics are Negative Portrayal of Youth and Electronic Media: a Threat to Public Health. We think the internet creates problems in some cases, such as when people create fake accounts(fraud) and when people send viruses to each other.
the internet is a very good sorce of information but it can be very dancerous because there can be phoedophiles and phishers online which cause a threat to a number of people who use the internet. Theise people can be very dangerous but overall the internet is very useful.
I do not belive in cyber addiction in a manner, it is definitley not like drugs and cigaretes or alcohol because they have ingredients in them which make you addicted (Nicotine) where as cyber addiction is different, it is more like people feel they need to keep using the computer often where there is alot of other things to do like play outside etc. So in my opinion computer is not real and there is no proof to it being real.
We chose Cyber Addiction and Sexualisation in the media and we agree what has been said on both the cards. it could be made better by explaining it more in detail ans we could publicise it by creating something written and not on the computer :)
